Delete your account

You can delete your Unfindable account, and everything in it, at any time.

In the app

Open Account, tap Delete everything, then tap Delete to confirm. It happens straight away.

By email

If you can't use the app, email hello@unfindable.me from the address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We delete it and reply to confirm.

Before you delete

Deleting your account does not cancel a Watch subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it first in your store's subscription settings, or it keeps renewing.

What is deleted

• Your account: your email address, sign-in records and sessions.
• Every search: the name, place and LinkedIn link you searched on, your answers to the "Is this you?" questions, and every result and file.
• The record of when and from which IP address you started searches.
• Notification tokens for your phones, and the record of which notifications we sent.
• Our log of the emails we sent you.
• Your subscription record with us, and RevenueCat's record of your purchases.
• Usage analytics recorded in PostHog with your account id and email address.

What is kept

• A note of each store purchase: the store's transaction number, the product, the store, when it was used, and the internal ids of the deleted account and search, with no name, email address or results. It stops one purchase opening a report twice, and is kept indefinitely.
• Payment records: Apple and Google keep their own records of what you bought. If you paid on our website, Stripe keeps the payment record, and we keep it for the period the law requires.
• The waitlist: if you joined it on the website, that entry is separate from your account, and so are the website analytics recorded with it. The entry is kept until Unfindable launches plus 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it.
