How a search works

You give your full name, the town or city and country you live in, and, if you like, your LinkedIn profile link. Unfindable then searches public sources the way a recruiter, a landlord or a first date would, and when it can't tell whether an account is yours, it asks you, so someone with the same name stays out of your file. A search takes a few minutes, and we let you know when your file is ready.

It reads public information only. It never asks for your passwords or signs in to your accounts. You may only search for yourself.

What the free search includes

Every account gets one free search. It shows how many results we found and where, and opens up to two of them in full. The rest stay hidden until you open the full file.

Results you don't open are deleted 24 hours after the search. If a search fails on our side, you get your free search back.

Paying

Watch is a monthly subscription that opens your full file and searches again every two weeks to show what changed. It is paid through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android, and the app shows the price before you pay. We never see your card details.

Restoring purchases

On a new phone, sign in with the email address you subscribed with, then open Account and tap Restore purchases.

Cancelling Watch

Watch renews each month until you cancel it in your store's subscription settings. In the app, Account > Manage subscription takes you there. On iPhone it is Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android it is Google Play > your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge (Apple asks for at least 24 hours before it). Deleting your account does not cancel Watch, so cancel it first.

Refunds

Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made in the app, under their own policies. On iPhone, ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, ask from your Google Play order history. If a payment is refunded, the file it opened locks again.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Account and tap Delete everything. Your file, every search and your account are deleted straight away. If you can't use the app, email hello@unfindable.me from the address you sign in with. What is deleted and what is kept.
